Description: The Heavin Forge team, led by Mastersmiths Kevin and Heather Harvey, make exceptional knives and this large clip point bowie is a dramatic example of their work.
The 10-1/2 inch blade was forged to shape by Bertie Le Reux. The fine twisted Ws pattern nicely combines fine patterns with bold stars. By including fine and bold elements in the steel, the knife is both captivating from a distance and fascinating upon closer examination.
The handle is nicely carved, swelling at the palm and toward the butt. A central mosaic pin combines brass, copper and nickel silver. The handle is formed from silky oak wood. This Australia hardwood is among the most dramatic woods I have ever seen. A brown tooled cowhide belt sheath accompanies this spectacular work by the Heavin Forge Team.
