Description: Theme knives have long been a favorite of mine -- and Cliff Parker's "Walrus" is among my favorites that I have encountered.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super smooth and blade perfectly centered. Here, he has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of 1/4 inch. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff has spent considerable time over the past years testing and experimenting his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The spear point blade combines 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels into a complex, captivating damascus. The mosaic damascus bolsters combine walrus images forged from 4600E, 4800E, 1084 carbon steel and pure nickel. The surrounding parquet around the image is forged from 1084 and 15N20 carbon steels. The bolsters meet perfectly to the premium ancient walrus ivory scales. The screws have been heat colored. Fossil walrus ivory thumb stud. Fully fileworked titanium liners surround a Damascus backbar. The fit and finish is as good as it gets. The perfectly centered blade has silky smooth action. Exceptional!
