Description: Bruce Bingenheimer was honored as a journeyman smith in June 2010. This fighter shows his skill at design and implementation at its best!
The long drop point blade was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment ensures a strong blade, with a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge. A triple temper and triple quench result in the best edge holding. The blade is distal tapered for optimal balance. The desert ironwood handle is nicely shaped so as to provide a perfect grip. Alternating fiber and copper spacers assist the handle to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. Accompanied by hand stitched leather sheath. Exceptional work throughout!
