Description: Journeyman Smith Bruce Bingenheimer makes an exceptional hunting knife. This knife is designed for outdoor use but will feel at home in virtually any collection.
The blade was forged to shape from W2 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment ensures a strong blade with a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge. The blade was heat treated using a traditional Japanese technique where the spine is coated with insulating clay prior to quenching. The undulating heat treatment line is called a hamon. The copper guard is hand satin finished and adds a dramatic contrast. The African blackwood handle swells toward the back and provides a sure, comfortable grip. Accompanied by a hand stitched and textured pouch style leather sheath.
Exceptional work throughout!
