Description: I love folders that have a cohesive theme. Captivating, detailed images of a tortoise are combined with exhibition grade tortoise shell scales to make a knife you won't want to put down. This is one of Cliff's best knives to date -- super-light weight, small, but not too small -- and the antique tortoise shell is among my favorite materials.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super-smooth and blade perfectly centered. He has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of 1/4". Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff spent considerable time over the past years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The damascus blade combines 1084 and 203E for exceptional contrast. The bolsters meet perfectly to the very rare, presentation grade antique tortoise shell scales. The scales are set on 24kt gold leaf, resulting in a dramatic iridescence. Gold anodized titanium liners keep the knife light and strong. These have been fully fileworked and surround the damascus backbar.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
