Description: Swedish knifemaker Michael Henningsson is a maker to watch. His knives show an exquisite attention to detail that is immediately captivating while showing off his unique vision. Given the skill of Michael's work, it is no surprise that this knife won the Nordic Award category in 2011 (5 countries).
The 2-1/2 inch blade features a tactical modified tanto grind that shows off his skill at the grinder. It is formed from Heimskringla pattern stainless damascus. It has smooth action and is easily opened with a single hand using the pierced thumb hole. The lockup is firm and satisfying.
The left scale is formed from 416 stainless steel. It is inlaid with a heat blued section of Bob Eggerling mosaic damascus. It is meticulously engraved by Michael in Arabesque scroll style. The engraving is extremely well done and has tremendous detail. The right frame is formed from stainless damascus that matches the blade. The knife is accompanied by two pocket clips. Each is nicely sculpted. One is inlaid with heat blued mosaic damascus. The stainless backbar ends in a lanyard hole.
