Description: One of Mastersmith Shane Taylor's definitive knives is the batwing folder and so it should be no surprise that he would decide to do a bat themed piece. The blade features mosaic damascus gothic bats set on a swirling Damascus background. The multi-bar damascus has tremendous complexity -- bold gothic bats grab attention from a distance, while the intricate details in the background fascinate upon closer examination.
The blade is perfectly centered and has silky-smooth action. It is easily opened using the stippled steel thumb stud. Both the backbar and liners are stippled inside and out. Ancient mammoth ivory scales are very rare green toned with underlying caramel tones. They meet up to carved 1018 mild steel bolsters in an elegant arc. As you would expect, exceptional fit and finish throughout.
