Description: Canadian knifemaker Alain Desaulniers' work is meticulously performed. The influence of Loveless, Steve Johnson and John Young is clearly visible in his exceptional knives.
The stainless steel, drop point blade was hollow ground to accentuate the dramatic grind lines. The blade is two and a quarter inches of nimble capability, for opening boxes or letters, cutting twine or slicing apples. The guard is formed from 416 stainless steel and nicely offsets the jigged bone of the scales. Stainless rivets and a lanyard hole complete the handle, with the full tang ensuring a durable construction. A distal taper to both blade and tang results in perfect balance. Red fiber spacers assist the jigged bone to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The slimline handle has been contoured for a very comfortable, secure grip. Exceptional work throughout.
