Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under Mastersmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the techniques he learned from Bill -- creating truly exceptional edge retention.
The clip point blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel to have the highest performance of any steel, anywhere. The blade is hand satin finished, and the ricasso extends the choil and stops your hand sliding onto the blade.
Ironwood scales have been set on a full tang for durability. This, combined with the distal taper and the way the handle comfortably fills the palm, means a capable knife that is built for hard work. Mosaic pins combine stainless steel and copper. A lanyard hole completes the piece - a great way to keep a knife close at hand. A light, high performance, maneuverable knife, well-suited to detail work. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
