Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under renowned bladesmith Bill Burke in the spring of 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the same techniques -- creating exceptional edge retention.
The blade was forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many knifemakers and collectors feel to have the highest performance found anywhere. The blade is hand satin finished.
Light and maneuverable, this knife will stand up well to field use, yet will feel at home in any collection. A choil ensures a comfortable grip while the lightweight ivory-toned micarta scales keep the piece nimble. The scales are set on a full tang for durability. The handle is completed with two stainless steel and brass mosaic pins and a lanyard hole. Excellent work throughout!
