Description: Gary House is best known for his outstanding Damascus. His steel, which is frequently used by other high end makers on their knives, is dramatic -- showing tremendous interest in the details when viewed close at hand and having bolder patterns that draw attention from a distance.
Hunting swords were common throughout Europe in the 17th-18th centuries. They were frequently carried by huntsmen of the royal courts. Because they were so very favored, these hunting swords were often worn as a protective weapon in everyday wear.
The long, slender blade and swooping damascus S-guard show off Gary's Damascus to perfection. The handle is formed from amber stag. The handle is finished off with a mosaic damascus pommel and finial. Exceptional work throughout!
