Description: Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is silky smooth and blade perfectly centered. Here, he has created a folder that has one of the sleekest profiles imaginable. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff has spent considerable time over the past several years testing his designs and experimenting with new ideas to create a knife that remains sturdy, but has as low a profile as possible.
Cliff began by forging a variety of high-contrast steels into one of the most charming damascus patterns in existence. With wings outstretched, butterflies flit lightly along the blade - as though borne by the same breeze that sends a cavalcade of blossom into a merry spiral. Cliff has incorporated just enough twist to the pattern to give a sense of movement and lift with minimal distortion. Truly masterful work, capturing the essence of "Spring Fever!"
The pattern continues into matching damascus bolsters. Exhibition grade fossil walrus ivory scales are meet perfectly to the bolsters and are set on fully fileworked, anodized titanium liners. Matching damascus backbar. Exceptional work throughout!
