Description: Andre de Villiers is well known for his attention to detail. His folders range from utilitarian knives to collector's treasures and between. This exceptional folder would feel comfortable in most any collection, but is study enough for daily use.
The blade is formed from stainless Damasteel damascus. The bold pattern is immediately captivating. The blade has smooth action and is perfectly centered. It features a "nightmare grind" which is both fascinating to look at and tremendously useful. The front section of the blade is designed for a puncturing, thrust, whereas the primary grind assures a keen, fine edge.
The titanium frame is precision milled and inlaid with sections of warthog tusk. The flats were satin finished, with the base of the milling bead blasted. This adds exceptional contrast. The titanium backbar has been fully fileworked, both inside and out. The base of the fileworked is purple anodize to match the faceted amethysts inlaid into the backbar and thumb stud. The pocket clip is mounted for tip down carry. Exceptional work throughout.
