Description: Bruce Bingenheimer was honored as a journeyman smith in June 2010. This fighter is among the first knives that bears his new maker's mark and the JS stamp.
The long drop point blade was forged to shape from 5160 carbon steel. A differential heat treatment assures a strong blade, with a soft, supportive spine and a keen, long lasting edge. A triple temper and triple quench assures the best edge holding. The blade is distal tapered for optimal balance. The damascus guard is hand fluted. The mesquite burl handle was stabilized so as to hold up well to outdoor use. The handle is nicely shaped so as to assure a perfect grip. Accompanied by hand stitched, carved and textured leather sheath. Exceptional work throughout!
