Description: A truly dramatic folder! Ed Schempp made a small handful of handmade, one-of-a-kind Kris folders. Spyderco liked the design so well that they created a production knife based on this one. It is clear why they were so inspired. This knife has been in a private collection and is in new condition.
Ed based this folder on the Indonesian Kris, with its gently undulating, snake-like blade. Ed's folding interpretation features a san mai blade (52100 carbon steel is sandwiched between 15N20 carbon steel). The resulting mirror polished blade is very dramatic and will have exceptional edge holding. 52100 is considered by many knife users and makers to be among the best steels for edge holding and keen-ness.
Carbon fiber scales are dovetailed to raindrop pattern damascus bolsters for a perfect fit. The blade has silky smooth action and is perfectly centered.
