Description: Canadian knifemaker Alain Desaulniers' work is flawlessly executed, showing a clear influence from Loveless, Steve Johnson and John Young in his design and execution.
The stainless steel, clip point blade is hollow ground, accentuating the dramatic grind lines. A mirror polish is flawlessly executed. The guard is formed from 416 stainless steel and finished with exquisite floral scrollwork by engraver Bill Maines. The stag scales have been ground down and polished to a luster, an elegant finish that completes the handle nicely. The tang is fully tapered for optimal balance and weight reduction. Large stainless rivets (also featuring Bill Maines' engraving) and a lanyard hole complete the handle. Red fiber spacers assist the stag to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. The handle is well contoured for a very comfortable, secure grip. Exceptional work throughout.
