Description: Journeyman Smith Gary House has a tremendous penchant for miniatures and it really shines though on Butterfly Damascus Desk Knife. The blade is forged from Gary's mosaic butterflies pattern damascus. It has been heat blued to show off complex butterflies flying across a deep blue background. The blade meets up with a matching mosaic Damascus guard. A mokume gane ferrule forged from copper and nickel silver moves into the ancient walrus ivory tip. The ivory is from a baby walrus and perfectly sized for this small dagger. This allowed Gary to have the elegant, natural tones of the bark ivory.
This desk knife is accompanied by a mammoth ivory display stand. The mammoth ivory is set on a mosaic damascus base. Excellent work throughout!
