Description: Master Smith Henry Torres had the opportunity to work under renowned Mastersmith Bill Burke in 2006. This allowed him to best understand Bill's techniques of heat treating and implementation, which result in a level of edge holding rarely found elsewhere. Henry heat treated this blade using the same techniques -- creating a differentially heat treated blade with a hard edge and softer, supportive spine. The result is exceptional.
The clip point blade was forged from 52100 carbon steel -- a steel that many makers and users feel to be the best choice for a carbon steel knife. The blade was meticulously hand satin finished. A 416 stainless pommel and guard surround Indian stag. Black fiber spacers allow the knife to adjust to temperature and humidity changes. A fileworked copper spacer brings in dramatic interest. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
