Description: This Andre Thorburn's master work to date. It features a unique opening system Andre developed called a roll opening. This modification on a flipper opening is tremendously easy to use and does not catch when stored in the pocket. When combined with the IKBS ball bearing system, the action is exceptional!
The blade is formed from Swedish 12C27 stainless steel. By hand satin finishing the grinds and mirror polishing the flats, Andre accentuates the dramatic grind lines. The blade is well center and has silky smooth action.
The 416 stainless steel frame is inlaid with a central damascus section and edge sections of gold lip mother of pearl. The damascus was forged by renowned damascus forger, Ettoré Gianferarri in South Africa. By hot bluing the tight linear pattern, Andre makes it really stand out. Arches of 416 stainless steel have been meticulously hand engraved by the maker. The handle is completed with 14k gold pins. Titanium liners have been meticulously hand fileworked and anodized to a golden tone. The stainless steel backbar has been engraved both inside and out. Attention to detail has been paid throughout this knife, with the fit and finish exceptional.
