Description: Shane Taylor's Fighters have long been among my favorite knife designs. The sleek shape is exceptionally comfortable and maneuverable when held.
The carbon steel blade was differentially heat treated using the traditional Japanese clay technique. This method results in a gently undulating transition line called a hamon. The flats and bolster have both been hammer textured for a very dramatic appearance. The spine has been dramatically textured. The surface has been hot blued. Both the blade and tang have strong distal tapers so as the bring the weight back to the center of the handle. Fossil walrus ivory scales are set with textured pins. This knife is numbered 091. Exceptional work throughout!
