Description: Though Mastersmith Shane Taylor has become best known for his intricate folding knives, his fixed blade utility knives have long been amongst my favorite knife designs. The sleek shape is exceptionally comfortable and maneuverable when held.
The damascus blade was forged to shape from 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels into a complex Ws pattern. The surface has been hot blued. Both the blade and tang have strong distal tapers so as the bring the weight back to the center of the handle. Accompanied by Kydex sheath by Journeyman smith Erik Fritz. This knife is numbered 084. Exceptional work throughout!
