Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey is well known for creating replicas that have an air that captures the original work and yet adds to it. His attention to detail is spectacular. Samuel Bell, noted jeweler and knifemaker from the early 1800s was known for this fancy Bowie -- only 14 of which still survive today.
The blade and integral bolster were forged from Kevin's Heart Beat pattern damascus. The complex pattern is a random pattern at the spine and moves into an undulating ladder pattern at the edge. The handle frame is formed from nickel silver and has been hand fileworked at the false tang. Both top and bottom have been inlaid with four Burma rubies and two Thai sapphires. The pommel is engraved both on the sides and "tang". Exhibition grade white lip mother of pearl scales are set with six nickel silver pins. Accompanied by certificate from the maker. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
