Description: The central mammoth image on this elegant folder has become a hallmark of Cliff's career -- the captivating image of a woolly mammoth is combined with exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory scales to make a knife you won't want to put down.
Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is possible. The action is super smooth and blade perfectly centered. He has created a very sleek profiled liner lock folder with a total thickness of .33". Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff spent considerable time over the past several years testing and experimenting with his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
The blade is formed from mosaic damascus steel forged from 15N20 and 1084 carbon steels. The bolsters include pure nickel for even higher contrast. Cliff has created a central tile depicting a detailed image of a wooly mammoth. This is surrounded by tiny radial patterns, with Cliff's hallmark, 'CP' forged into the background. The bolsters meet perfectly to the exhibition grade mammoth ivory scales. The bark mammoth ivory shows off green and caramel tones. 18kt gold thumb stud.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
