Description: Cliff creates knives that push the limits of what is imaginable! The action is silky smooth and blade perfectly centered. All this is done in an extremely sleek, compact size. Due to the complexity of the mechanism, liner locks tend to be fairly thick. Cliff has spent considerable time over the past several years testing and experimenting his designs to create a knife that is sturdy, but as low profile as possible.
Dramatic, clear mosaic damascus is only matched by the quality of the mammoth ivory scales. The mosaic damascus shows off complex patterns including suns, moons, stars, shooting stars, CP (Cliff's initials) and more -- forged directly into the steel. The damascus has a tremendous range of tones and textures due to the wide range of metals involved: 1084, 15N20, 203E and 4600E carbon steels along with pure nickel. Cliff has used the same damascus pattern for the blade and bolsters, however after forging out the blade steel, he twisted the pattern to create an organic and freely flowing contrast to the rigid geometric patterns on the bolsters.
The blade is easily opened using the thumb stud which has been inlaid with matching mammoth ivory. Titanium liners have been fully file worked inside and out and are anodized to a brilliant blue. The backbar is formed from matching damascus. Outstanding fit and finish throughout.
