Description: Anders specializes in combining traditional Japanese techniques with those of his native Sweden. Anders uses a Japanese method of heat treating the blade where clay coats the spine (or in this case, the center of the knife), resulting in a differential heat treatment and the subsequent gently undulating quench line called a hamon. This method also creates a knife with superior edge-holding ability and strength. The double edged blade of 1050 carbon steel features a gently undulating hamon travelling along both fully sharpened edges, showing off Ander's skill at its best. The mammoth bone handle is one solid piece of bone. Antiqued and textured copper bolster and butt plate nicely complement the tan and espresso tones of the handle. A traditional Swedish leather sheath with a single seam holds this outstanding knife securely. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
