Description: Mastersmith Kevin Harvey drew his inspiration from an earlier era when he created this Persian dagger. The blade was forged to shape from Kevin’s “Random Chaos” pattern damascus from carbon steels. Textured nickel silver has been used to form the guard. The gracefully curved handle was meticulously sculpted from African Blackwood and features a handmade glass bead surrounded by fileworked nickel silver spacers. Though Mastersmith Heather Harvey, Kevin's wife, has recently started making glass beads, this one was made by Heather’s teacher, South African jeweler, Louise Van Stade. Green, white and grey colors of the glass bead nicely contrast with the dark tones in the wood. The handle finishes with a meticulously sculpted scroll. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
