Description: The Heavin Forge team, led by Mastersmiths Kevin and Heather Harvey, makes exceptional knives and this small utility knife is no exception. Biltong knives are used throughout South African to hand cut the local style of beef jerky (called biltong). This style of knife is great for al sorts of detailed cutting.
This knife features an exposed full tang and blade hand-forged from random pattern damascus. By using carbon steels, Heather assures a keen, long lasting edge. Stabilized giraffe bone overlays are set on the exposed damascus full tang. This small knife is very comfortable in the hand -- just big enough to get the job done, but small enough to be easy to carry. A leather lanyard is completed with a hand formed glass bead, also made by Heather. A brown tooled cowhide belt sheath accompanies this spectacular work by the Heavin Forge Team.
