Description: A great little fossil walrus ivory folder by Chuck Gedraitis! The upswept, blade was made from Daryl Meier's Turkish Twist damascus. Daryl is a legend in the knife industry and created many of the patterns that are well known today. Additionally, he taught many a knife maker how to forge their first billet. Four separate bars of steel were combined to create the highly complex damascus. By forging the blade to shape, the pattern follows the edge of the blade. Turkish Twist pattern bolsters were made from Jerry Rados damascus. By combining damascus from two of the greatest masters, Chuck has created a unique and extremely dramatic knife. The bolsters feature hidden screws for a clean look. Damascus on the backbar was also forged by Rados.
Fully fileworked titanium liners have been anodized to a brilliant blue that accents the blue tones in the exhibition grade walrus ivory handle. The walrus ivory is particularly dramatic, combining blue and caramel tones and an underlying tapioca texture. The fileworked screws have been heat colored to a gold color that compliments the caramel colors in the handle. A14K gold thumb stud is inlaid with a black lip pearl cabochon. Pivot screws have been cleverly hidden. When closing the knife, the smooth action lines up the blade dead center. Smooth action. You’ll find great fit, finish and precision lockup in this Gedraitis folder.
