Description: This small dirk was inspired by the work of early American knifemaker Samuel Bell. The blade was forged to shape from 1080 carbon steel and is antiqued making an heirloom appearance. The blade is finished with a Bell-inspired Spanish notch. A copper moon has been inlaid into the 'bolster' section. A centipede has been carved into the steel. The centipede has a netsuke playfulness that clearly shows the influence of Tom's work as a netsuke artist and his attention to detail has translated well to this piece. Accompanied by a black walnut display box.
