Description: Anders has once more produced an exceptional knife that grasps the imagination. The thin, upswept blade has its roots in the Middle East. The blade has been heat treated using a traditional Japanese method that involves packing clay onto the spine. This creates a temper line (also called the hamon) and results in an ultra hard, keen edge with a soft, supportive spine. The sterling silver habuki (blade guard) serves to protect the blade from being scratched when drawn from the sheath. Antiqued sterling silver is also used for the oval guard and pin. The handle is formed from jet black African blackwood. The knife is accompanied by an exhibition grade curly bubinga wood sheath. The sheath has been brought to a very high polish, showing tremendous detail in the underlying grain pattern. Exceptional fit and finish throughout!
