Description: This limited release folder combines the elegance of fossilized bone with aerospace grade titanium, koftgari gold ornamentation, and a state of the art San Mai Damascus ZDP-189 blade steel.
The Damascus laminate ZDP-189 blade is ground and honed by hand and measures sharper than a conventional razor. At a hardness of HRC 67, this exceptional edge will start sharper and stay sharper than any alloy tested in modern cutlery.
The handle is crafted from solid 6Al/4V titanium, an alloy designed especially for the requirements of the aerospace industry. Pattern-matched sets of fossil bone scales overlay the titanium frame, measuring beauty and brawn in equal expression.
The button lock and thumb stud are inlaid with white topaz. Stainless micro-screws create the final open-frame construction of the handle. The bolster is decorated with koftgari. This technique inlays 24k gold into ornate "damascene" patterns. The leather lanyard is held by a sterling silver bail and is completed with sterling silver and fossil ivory beads. 24k gold fittings. Accompanied by William Henry ClipCase and presentation wood box. Both the knife and the box are numbered. Only 50 of this model were made. This is serial #45 of 50.
