Description: Gary House is best known for his outstanding Damascus. His steel, which is frequently used by other high end makers on their knives, is dramatic -- showing tremendous interest in the details when viewed close at hand and having bolder patterns that draw attention from a distance.
The long slender blade and oval guard show off Gary's Damascus to perfection. By using a black lacquer technique on the guard, Gary makes the Damascus have a particularly high contrast. The handle is formed from stag. It has been sculpted by Roger Jones and depicts an oak leaf on the right side. The handle is finished off with a Damascus nut. Accompanied by a tooled leather sheath (also by Roger Jones). The tooling continues the theme by portraying oak leaves. Exceptional work throughout!
