Description: This drop point hunter by Arno Bernard has a dramatic South African feel and look. The mammoth ivory on this hunter is particularly rare. The tusk was found in a silver mine. The tones found in mammoth ivory are a result of minerals close to the ivory under the ground. In this case, veins of silver run through the mammoth ivory bark to a truly wonderful and unique appearance. The ivory has been polished to a luster and is pinned with five stainless steel pins. Silver veins run across a caramel toned background. The handle ends in a bird's beak, resulting in a particularly comfortable and secure grip. The blade has been differentially hand satin finished to accentuate the dramatic grind lines. As at home in a collection as out in the field. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
