Description: Roger Bergh's knives have a feel all of their own. This hunter has been in a primary collection since it was made in 2006. It has been in a knifemaker's private collection (for inspiration) and has been meticulously cared for. By all appearances, it could have been made yesterday.
The multi-bar damascus blade combines a mosaic central bar surrounded by an explosion pattern edge and spine. The damascus steel was forged from 15N20 and 20C carbon steels and will have exceptional edge holding.
The stacked handle combines stabilized lacewood with nickel silver spacers. An ancient walrus ivory accent nicely complements the cross cut mammoth ivory butt cap. By cross cutting the mammoth ivory, Roger reveals the delicate grain structure inherent to the ivory and allows the rare deep blue/green tone to show at the butt. The lacewood handle has rich tones and lighter rays moving throughout.
The knife is accompanied by a hand tooled traditional Swedish leather sheath.
Excellent fit and finish.
