Description: This style of knife was designed to cut a variety of beef jerky (called Biltong) since South Africans traditionally cut their own rather than having the butcher do it. The captivating style is also well suited as a general purpose utility knife.
This folding biltong knife is the work of South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden. The 12C27 stainless steel blade will hold a great edge and is easy to sharpen. A hollow grind allows is to be easily maintained. The blade is well centered and has silky smooth action. Bolsters are formed from 416 stainless steel and were engraved by Andre in a recreation of a Joseph Rodgers pattern. Exhibition grade whitelip mother of pearl scales are shot through with flashes of color in a density of layers. Blue anodized titanium liners have been fileworked and surround a satin polished stainless backbar. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
