Description: This non-traditional tanto has the clear mark of Michael Rader. The blade was forged to shape from three separate carbon steels, resulting in silver, grey and black tones in the steel. The woodwork on the handle combined curly maple and mesquite woods with bloodwood detailing. The copper guard is formed from three separate layers as well -- a thin bloodwood line is surrounded by layers of copper. Bloodwood and copper bring tremendous warmth.
The knife is accompanied by bloodwood and Damascus presentation stand. Organic lines predominate in one of the greatest displays that I have encountered to date.
