Description: The #700 grit waterstone is used to remove scratches from rougher stones and to further refine the edge. This waterstone uses green carbide abrasives in a ceramic matrix. Unlike domestic ceramic stones which become glazed and ineffective this stone is porous and absorbs water for proper lubrication. It will never lose its fast cutting effect. These stones have become the standard among Japanese knife sharpeners due to their wide cutting surface, rapid cutting action and reduced wear.
