Description: Shane forges truly spectacular Damascus, and this knife is no exception. The many different steel allows the heat-blued Damascus in this piece to have many different shades, from red-purple and gold finish with blue flash. The screws are all fileworked and heat-blued to a complimentary hue. The Siberian mammoth ivory has wonderful color and, along with the Damascus bolster, is carved in a modified nautilus style. The thumbstud continues the shell motif since Shane hand carved it into a scallop shell with amazing detail for something 0.004" across. As with Shane's other batwings, the handle fits securely into the hand and allows several grips. Another exceptional knife from Mastersmith Shane Taylor!
