Description: Mardi Meshejian's creative masterpieces are among the most dramatic and inspiring work today. He is a true innovator, both in style and technique.
The wharncliffe blade is created using a san mai (literally meaning three layers) technique -- 1084 carbon steel is sandwiched between Titanium Damascus. CP3 and 6al-4v have been forged into a 40 Damascene layers. The result is phenomenal. The titanium has been electrically anodized to brilliant gold and purple tones. The cutting edge is pure carbon steel which will have excellent edge retention. The spine shows off the heat colored carbon steel sandwiched between titanium damascus.
The guard is forged from heat colored copper, matching tones with the titanium damascus blade. This nicely transitions into the carved fossil mammoth ivory handle. This is finished with a pommel forged from copper/titanium/niobium super conductivity wire. Exceptional work throughout.
