Description: As at home in a collection as out in the field, this curly maple bowie knife shows the skill of Mastersmith Red St. Cyr. Curly maple is used for both the sheath and handle. The handle has been sculpted to form a sure hand-hold in a wide variety of positions. A Damascus guard adds to the sense of elegance. The blade is forged to shape from 52100 carbon steel -- among the best steels for edge holding and cutting ability. It has been meticulously hand satin finished.
