Description: Bladesmith Michael Rader creates an exceptional Japanese influenced Wakizashi. The long, sleek blade was hand forged to shape from 1084 carbon steel. It was meticulous satin finished. The tsuba is formed from stainless steel and has a crop circle motif that is the hallmark of Michael's work. The handle is formed from curly maple and accented with South American mahogany. Michael's experience as a woodworker is clearly visible in his precision fit and finish. The mahogany has been filed marked for a secure grip. A decorative mosaic pin finishes out the handle. The wooden sheath is formed from matching curly maple and also has accents in South American mahogany. An exceptional knife with great fit and finish.
This sword was featured in the Oct. issue of Blade Magazine on page 40.
