Description: It is no surprise that this exceptional Swedish Bowie knife won first place and best in show at the 2005 Nordic Championship. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed and masterfully executed from the heat colored Damascus blade to the star patterned brass pommel.
The blade was forged from four composite bars of mosaic Damascus with striking copper and bronze highlights. The edge bar is an explosion pattern Damascus forged from CK100 and 15N20 carbon steels for exceptional edge holding. The blade combines complex and bold patterns such that it is both fascinating from a distance and up close.
The warm tones of the exhibition grade ironwood handle has been enhanced by spacers of dark buffalo horn and butterscotch toned mastodon ivory along with thinner nickel silver and copper spacers. Damascus front and rear bolsters pull the weight back into the handle.
This knife was featured on page 140 of Knives 2007.
