Description: This style of knife was designed to cut a variety of beef jerky (called Biltong) since South Africans traditionally cut their own rather than having the butcher do it.
This folding biltong knife is the masterwork of South African knifemaker Andre van Heerden. The heat blued blade shows off brilliant blues and bright silvers. The hollow grind allows is to be easily maintained. The blade is well centered and has silky smooth action. Bolsters are formed from Damascus by Ettoré Gianferarri, assuring that the patterns will be unique and different from those generally found on the American market. Exhibition grade mammoth ivory scales are deep blue in tone with hints of caramel. Blue anodized titanium liners have been fileworked and surround a mirror polished stainless backbar. Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
