Description: Bob Lay's designs are well thought out and show an amazing degree of craftsmanship. The box elder burl handle is one of the most dramatic handles that I have seen from Bob. The deep black buffalo horn spacer nicely offsets the tones in the wood. The stainless steel guard and butt cap create a perfect balance in the hand. The clip is brought to a sharp edge. By mirror polishing the flats of the blade and satin finishing the grinds, Bob creates a knife with grind lines that are very dramatic. The blade has been heat treated to 57Rc for optimal edge retention.
