Description: This exceptional sole-authorship hunter was created by Mastersmith Ed Caffrey. The blade is a complex mosaic pattern. Jellyrolls are surrounded by a background that has a tribal feel. The blade was given a fine convex grind for a high performance, yet very strong edge. The blade is precision fit to the nickel silver guard. This has been carved and textured for very pleasing appearance. The guard provides a comfortable thumb purchase. The handle was formed from a single piece of fossil mammoth ivory. It, too, was carved and textured. The texturing on the sides provides a secure grip in the hand. The left side of the ivory is pure white. The right side shows off darker caramel rivers moving through the texturing. Excellent work throughout.
