Description: Shane Taylor's knives have a look and feel all of their own. It is clear from knives like this why Shane remains among the great American bladesmiths of all time.
The Damascus on this folder is tremendously complex and shows high control over the steel. The leaf blade is forged to shape and nicely incorporates the bold pattern, moving across a complex background.
The bolsters are dovetailed to the exhibition grade fossil mammoth ivory scales, which have deep blue veins across a caramel background. The screws have each been fileworked and heat blued. The 15N20 carbon steel liners have been fully fileworked and heat blued. The 1084 carbon steel spine has been engraved. The fit and finish are beyond compare, with a perfectly centered blade and excellent action.
