Description: This exceptional hand made chef's knife was forged by Mastersmith Jerome Anders. The blade was forged from 5160 carbon steel and was differentially heat treated. The resulting edge is extremely hard and will therefore stay keen for an exceptionally long time. The spine is softer and resilient. The bolster is integral to the blade -- a very hard task for the hand-forger. The knife is finished off with an exhibition grade amboyna burl handle. The swirling grain structure has tremendous interest and fits comfortably in the hand. Excellent fit and finish throughout.
