Description: The blade of this push dagger is beautifully pressure flaked from exceptional quality rainbow obsidian from Northern California. When in bright light, the blade shows a brilliant rainbow deep in the stone. The handle has been perfectly sculpted to hold the obsidian blade. An exceptional example of the creative work of Dr. Joe Higgins and Tom Sterling. Accompanied by presentation box created from American black walnut. The box has a unique mechanism that 'locks' the blade in place so that it can be safely hung.
The team of Tom Sterling and JP Higgins is a formidable force. Joe Higgins, who has been flint knapping knives for over 10 years, created the blade of this masterpiece with precision. This skill is matched in the detailed handle and box created by Tom Sterling, who has brought his attention to detail learned as an internationally known netsuke artist to this piece.
