Description: This 4" Pronghorn Hunter is an exceptional knife. The long, slender blade is very unique for Bill's work. This one is quiet narrow at the ricasso and swells at the belly. The handle is thicker than usual and fits snugly in the palm. This is one of the most captivating pronghorns that I have encountered to date.
Bill Burke, who was honored as a journeyman smith June 2003, makes knives that are as high performance as hunters can get. Each knife is pre-tested for edge flex and cutting ability before assembly. The heat treatment follows the formulas developed by Ed Fowler, Bill's teacher, and has been proven to create some of the sharpest and most long lasting edges found anywhere. When wet, sheep horn does not become slippery, and it is amazingly durable. The spacer is created by taking two sheep horn end cuts and aligning them outward, producing a very pleasing effect. Excellent fit and finish throughout
