Description: This exquisite set of two bamboo daggers is masterfully and artistically created.
The larger dagger has a 7" long blade and an overall length of 11 1/4". The blade measures just over 1" at the widest part. The blade is 1/4" thick at the ricasso. It weighs 12 1/4 oz.
The smaller dagger has a 4 3/4" long blade and an overall length of 9 1/2". The blade measures just over 1" at the widest part. The blade is 1/4" thick at the ricasso. It weights 11 oz.
The blades were heat treated using a Japanese clay technique resulting in a softer central spine and super-hard edges. A swirling heat treatment line called a hamon results. It is extremely hard to execute this on a dagger it here, it has been done with tremendous artistry.
The handles were cast by Scott using the lost wax technique. The bamboo is very realistic. Merlin's Gold is an alloy consisting of copper and zinc. It simulates a medium gold in color and develops a dramatic patina which evokes an ancient feeling.
Exceptional fit and finish throughout.
